Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “For the one your love”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

Step 1:
I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “The Fiary and the Wizard” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.
Next I die cut around the image using one of the dies in my rectangle nesting die set (this particular die is two sizes smaller than my card base). I left enough room underneath the image to stamp my sentiment. And for today’s sentiment I’m using one of the stamps in the Crafter’s Companion “Sweet Treat Accessories” stamp set.
Now I can start the colouring process: for today’s colouring work I’m using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers. I usually start with the hair and the skin first, because I feel these are often the most difficult parts of each image.
For skin I used: FS7 and TN1 in combination with a SN Classique Marker in CR05.
For hair I used: FS9, GB5 and GB7 for the wizard and FS3, PP4, DR5, CR10 and DR7 for the fairy.

Step 2:
For the rest of the image I used:
For blue: TB1, TB3, TB5 and TB8;
For yellow: LY1 and GY3;
For brown: MB1, TN5 and TN7;
Around the image: AB1;
For reds I used the same colours as for the girls hair.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white geld pen.

Step 3:
Now I can put my card together: I die cut a slightly larger mat from gold coloured mirror card stock and I adhered both mats together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto my white linen textured base card using one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish my card I now only have to apply some “Diamond” Stickles over the fairy’s wings using a small brush an let that dry (wash the brush because stickles act like glue).

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).
That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
