The Paper Shelter Challenge #499

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Shades of Blue”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Art Deco Charm” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Next I die cut around the image using one of the dies in my rectangle nesting die set (this particular die is a fair bit smaller than my card base leaving room for some nice design paper). Underneath this digital image I stamped my sentiment using a no name stamp set from my stash in combination with black ink.

Next I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers, I used the colours: Fair Skin Blend Marker, Tan Blend marker, Brown Grey Shades marker, Ice Blue Blend marker, True Blue Blend marker and the True Blue Shades marker. After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

From some matching design paper from my stash I die cut a rectangle panel one size smaller than my card base. Onto this panel I adhered the coloured image using liquid glue and to finish my card I now only have to adhere this combination onto a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
