The Paper Shelter Challenge #501

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “One for the Boys”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Cockatoo Rules!” onto Strathmore Toned Tan paper.

Next I die cut around the image leaving room on the bottom for my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Mama Elephant “Birthday Messages” stamp set using black ink.

Now I can colour this fun image using my Spectrum Noir ColourBlend coloured pencils in combination with a white drawing pencil. I used the following colours: Daffodil, Saffron, Maple, Rose Red, Redcurrant, Peacock Green, Pewter, Taupe, Oyster and Black.

Where I lost a black line I draw it back in using a black Spectrum Noir ArtLiner pen.

For my background I picked a design paper (one of the previous Stampin’Up collections) and die cut a rectangle panel one size smaller than my card base. Those two rectangle panels I adhered together using liquid glue. And to finish the project I now only have to adhere these combined panels onto my craft coloured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
