Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Let it be Spring”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!
I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Upside Down” onto alcohol marker friendly paper. I die cut around the image using my rectangle nesting die set, making sure I left room for my sentiment.

Next I stamped my sentiment onto the die cut panel using black ink (this particular sentiment is from a no name brand stamp set).
Now I can start the colouring fun and for today’s project I’m using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Classique markers. I’m using the following colours:
Skin: Classique CR05, Illustrators FS7 and TN1;
Hair/Brown: Illustrators FS9, GB2, GB7, DR5 and EB8;
Tongue: Illustrators FS4 and DR1;
Orange: Classique BO05, Illustrators BO3 and BO4;
Purple: Classique HB05, Illustrators HB1, PL4 and HB3;
Leaves: Illustrators AB1, AB3 and JG7.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

For my background I picked a piece of design paper from my stash that matched the colours of the leaves and I die cut it to one size smaller than my card base. I adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue and to finish my card I now only have to adhere these combined panels onto my white linen textured card base.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).
That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
