The Paper Shelter Challenge #517

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Thing with Wings”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Owl Whisperer” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Next I die cut around the image leaving room for the sentiment on the right hand side. Than I stamped my sentiment using alcohol proof brown ink (SN Alcohol Proof Ink Rustic Brown) and today’s sentiment is from the Hero Arts “Make a Wish” stamp set.

Now I can colour the image and today I’m using my Spectrum Noir Classique and Illustrator alcohol markers:

- Skin: Classique marker in CR05, Illustrator in TN1;

- Hair: FS2, MG4, CR7, CR10 and DR7;

- Brown tones: FS9, TN4, TN7 and TN9;

- Blue tones: TB1, TB4, TB6 and TB8;

- Purple tones: LV1, HB3 and PV4;

- Turquoise tones: Classique marker in GT05, Illustrators in BT4 and BT9;

- Around the image: Classique marker in AP05 and Illustrator in AP1.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Now that my colouring is done I can look in my stash for some matching design paper: I die cut a rectangle piece one size smaller than my card base and adhered the coloured panel on top using liquid glue. And to finish the project I now only have to adhere this combination on top of a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
