Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Charming (Add a Charm)”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!
I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Rowena” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.
Next I die cut a rectangle shape around the image leaving room on the right hand side for a small sentiment and the metal charm on the left hand side. Now I can stamp my sentiment (from the Simon Says Stamp “Tiny Words” stamp set using black alcohol proof ink.

For colouring the image I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Classique alcohol markers:
For skin I used: a Classique marker in CR05, and Illustrator markers in TN1 and CR1;
For brown and gold colours I used: Illustrators in FS9, MB2, GB5, GB7, TN7 and EB7;
For coral reds I picked Illustrators in FS3, FS5, CR7, CR9 and CR11 with a dark shadow in brown (EB7);
My teal colours are Illustrators in BT1, BT4, BT6 and BT9;
My silver/grey tones are Illustrators in IG1, IG2, IG5 and IG8;
I coloured around the image using a Classique marker in PP05.
And after the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I added some Ranger Glossy Accents on the glass parts (to make them shiny) and let that dry.

The rest of the project is easy: I die cut a rectangle panel from teal coloured card stock one size smaller than my card base and adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. Next I adhered my metal charm, added some twine (adhered on the back of the combined card panels using regular tape) and than I adhered this combination onto my white linen textured card base.
