The Paper Shelter Challenge #523

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Autumn Colours”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “She Wolf” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Now I can colour the image using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Classique alcohol markers.

For skin I used: Classique marker in CR05 and Ian llustrator marker in TN1;

For brown hues I used: FS9, GB2, GB5, GB10 and EB7;

Red hues: FS8, BO3, CR11 and DR7;

Green hues: Classique marker in DG05 and Illustrators in DG2, DG4 and GG1 (around the image);

Grey brown: BG1 and BG4.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Time to work on my background: I die cut a square panel from white card stock and using one of the grey brown alcohol markers I darkened the edges of the panel slightly. I than stamped the sentiment (it’s in Dutch: Crealies discontinued stamp set CLTZJ17 (you can use any sentiment stamp you have)) using black ink and I used the swirls from the Viva Decor “Floral Embellishments” stamp set using Memento ink in “London Fog”.

I also die cut a square panel, two sizes smaller than my card base, from design paper from my stash and a slightly larger square panel from matching green card stock. Next I adhered both larger square panels together using liquid glue and than adhered that combination of panels onto my white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

Than I adhered the coloured and fussy cut image on top of the swirly sentiment background panel using liquid glue and to finish the card I now only have adhere this combination onto what I already have using one millimetre thick foam tape.
