Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Buttons and/or Bows”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!
I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “The Cutest Wizard” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.
Next I die cut around the image using a rectangle die two sizes smaller than my card base and leaving room on the right hand side for adding my sentiment. Next I stamped my sentiment using the Hero Arts “Make a Wish” stamp set in combination with black alcohol proof ink.

Now, onto the fun part: I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Classique alcohol markers for colouring the image.
For skin I used: Classique marker in CR05 and an Illustrator marker in TN1;
For brown and yellow hues I used: Classique marker in GY05 and Illustrator markers in FS9, GB2, MB1, CT4, GB5, GB8, TN4 and TN8;
For teal hues I used: Classique marker in GT05 and Illustrator markers in BT4 and BT8;
For blue hues I used: Classique marker in IB05 and Illustrator markers in TB1, TB3 and TB5;
Green hues: Classique markers in LG05 and DG05 and Illustrators in GG1, GG3, GG5, LG5 and JG7;
Purple hues: Classique marker in HB05 and Illustrator markers in LV1, LV2 and PL4;
And Brown Greys in BG1, BG2 and BG4.
after the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

The rest of the card is pretty easy: I die cut a slightly larger mat from matching blue card stock and adhered both panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish the card I now only have to adhere two bows (that I created from ribbon from my stash) onto the card using Ranger Medium Matte in the small bottle.
