The Paper Shelter Challenge #533

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Show us some Bling”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Purity” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Next I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers and I used the following markers colour combinations: Fair Skin Blend marker, Tan Blend marker, Tan Shades marker, Gold Brown Blend marker, Gold Yellow Blend marker, Pale Pink Blend marker, Pale Pink Shades marker, Coral Blend marker, Aqua Blue Blend marker, True Blue Blend marker, Jade Green Blend marker. After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut around the image using my scissors.

For my background panel I die cut a square piece of white card stock two sizes smaller than my card base. Onto this panel I stamped my sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Clearly Besotted “Sweet Sentiments Plus” stamp set in combination with black ink. Next I picked my stencil of choice (this one is Crafter’s Companion “Scattered Foliage”) and applied some Spectrum Noir Harmony Water-Reactive ink in “Oasis” over the stencil using a stencil brush, making sure to stay away from the sentiment area.

To put my card project together I die cut a square panel one size smaller than my card base, this time from some matching dark pink card stock and adhered both square panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto my white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. Next I adhered the coloured and fussy cut image on top and to finish the card I added my bling (from the challenge request) and for this I applied some Stickles “Star Dust” over the ring around the girl image using a brush (wash the brush afterwards because this stuff acts like glue).
