The Paper Shelter Christmas Anything Goes Challenge

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this months challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this months theme is “Anything Goes”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here! Today’s project is also my last project for The Paper Shelter as a design team member. If you haven’t been able to check out their gorgeous digital images before, please do, they are great to work with!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “What a Mess!” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Next I can colour the image using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers. I used the following colours: Fair Skin Blend marker, Ice Grey Blend marker, Ice Grey Shades marker, Brown Grey Shades marker, Pale Pink Blend marker, Pale Pink Shades marker, Dark Red Blend marker, Gold Yellow Blend marker, Gold Brown Blend marker, Tan Blend marker, Gold Brown Shades marker, Earth Brown Blend marker, Tan Shades marker, Jade Green Blend marker, Jade Green Shades marker, Aqua Blue Blend marker, Blue Turquoise Shades marker and a Classique marker in LV05.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Next I looked through my stash of design papers and found this really fun purple paper: I die cut a rectangle panel two sizes smaller than my card base. Onto this panel I stamped my sentiment (Whimsy Stamps “The Nutcracker”) using black ink. I also die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching dark green card stock and adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto my cream coloured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And to finish the card I now only have to adhere the coloured and fussy cut image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
