The Paper Shelter Summer Challenge: Anything Goes

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Anything Goes”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Yummy!” onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Next I die cut around the image using a rectangle nesting die set.

I looked for some nice design papers in my stash and die cut two rectangle panels each one size smaller than my card base. Using the design papers as my guide I picked my alcohol marker colours for colouring the images. I stamped my sentiment onto the panels using black ink and today I used the Clearly Besotted Sweet Sentiments Plus stamp set for this.

Today I coloured using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers and I used the following colours: Coral Blend marker, Burnt Orange Blend marker, Light Green Blend marker, Alpine Green Blend marker, Gold Brown Blend marker, Tan Blend marker, Earth Brown Blend marker, Tan Shades marker, Brown Grey Shades marker and the Ice Grey Blend marker. After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Finishing the card is really easy: I adhered the design paper panel onto my white linen textured card base using liquid glue and than I adhered the coloured image on top using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
