Turning 18!

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you the card that I created for my stephson who turned 18 a while ago. I didn’t record the colouring process but I will explain what colours I used.

Step 1:

I printed this digital image by Mo’s Digital Pencil (called “Tia”) onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Next I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers.

For the skin I used: FS7, a little CR1, and TN1;

For the hair I used: GY1, GY5 and CR11;

For the green colours I used: LG1, AG2 and AG4;

For the brown colours I used: MB1, RB2, TN8 and EB8;

Around the image I used: GG1.

After the colouring is done I added in some extra highlights using a white gel pen and than I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Step 2:

For my background I die cut a rectangle panel two sizes smaller than my card base. On this panel I stamped my sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Crafter’s Companion “Newspaper Collage” stamp set.

Next I placed my stencil of choice (this one is TCW908s) onto the paper and applied some Spectrum Noir Harmony Water-Reactive Ink in “Frosty Jade” over the stencil using a stencil brush, fading the colour outwards.

Step 3:

Now I can put my card together: I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching brown card stock and I adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

To finish my card I now only have to adhere the coloured and fussy cut image on top using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
