Vintage Christmas Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you this vintage Christmas card idea. You can use any vintage themed image on this kind of card, I found this image in my craft stash and that is why I used it! And the best thing about this card is, it’s really quick and easy to make.

Step 1:

I used a Dutch Doobadoo template for my base (number 470.713.142). I traced my top layer onto design paper (using a white gel pen), cut the design out with my scissors and distressed the edged with an edge distresser (but you can also use your scissors). I repeated the same procedure with white linen and light craft coloured card stock.

I also fussy cut my focal point: I used the same image twice, the back part is the entire design and the top part are only the vintage ice skates. I adhered both layers together using 3D glue and let that dry.

Step 2:

I edged the light craft coloured panel using Spectrum Noir Water-Reactive ink in “Friar Brown” and the white panel with “Silent Night” using a foam applicator tool.

Step 3:

Now I can adhere the three panels together using liquid glue and splatter on top, for some added interest, using Finetec Pearl Colors in the colour “Blue Silver” and while that is drying I die cut my sentiment, using a die set by Crealies (CLTD101), from the same light craft coloured card stock and edged with the same brown ink that I used before.

Step 4:

Now I’m ready to put my card together: for this I only have to adhere the vintage image onto the three combined layers using one millimetre thick foam tape and adhere the die cut sentiment using liquid glue.

And that is it for today’s quick card project! I wish you a creative day!
