Gorgeous new Graciellie Design digital Christmas stamp set

6 Nov 2018

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you my first guest design project for this month for Graciellie Design and today we are making another Christmas card!

I started my project by printing the gorgeous poinsettia image from the new Graciellie Design digital stamp set called “Merry Everything“ onto Copic friendly paper. Then I die cut around the image using a square nesting die set. To ad some extra interest to the background I stamped over the printed design, using second generation stamping, with Archival ink in the colour “Sepia“ and a Darkroom Door background stamp called “French Script“.

Now I can colour the image using my Copic Markers. I used the following colours: R20, R43, R29, R39, G00, G12, G40, G43, YG03, G94, YG97, BG13, G16, YR23, E59, E42, E35, E44 and E89.

When the Copic colouring was done I added back in some highlights using a white Gelly Roll Pen.

Now that the colouring is done I can work on the rest of the card design: I went around the edges of this same panel using the ink that I used to stamp the background with and also with “Jet Black“ Archival ink to define the edge a little bit more, both of the inks are applied with a foam applicator tool.

I adhered the coloured panel onto a larger dark red square panel using liquid glue.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the same digital stamp set onto some matching light green coloured card stock and die cut around it using a banner die (Crealies “Double Fun no 1“, no longer in production) and then I traced the shape of the die on some matching dark brown card stock to create a mat for the green banner. The two banner shapes I adhered on top of each other using liquid glue and then I adhered the combined set of banners to the card project also using liquid glue, folded around the back on the right hand side and adhered there using regular tape.

All I have to do now to finish my card project is to adhere these combined panels to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that’s it for today’s card project. I wish you a creative day!
